Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Dear Grams

Words can not say how much I am thankful for you today, and every day.

The time we have been able to spend together, the long phone calls, the hugs, cards, gifts, prayers, and unconditional love. God knew hen I was born, that he would show his love through you. You are truly a soul I admire, your forgiveness, love and devotion for each and every family member, your thoughtfulness of every occasion and holiday. As I reflect this day of you and what a blessing you are in my life, I see God and his love for us.

I am so blessed to have you for all these years and never do i want to take for granit the time I have with you here on this earth. Never once have you let me down or made me feel unwanted. I have always known I can count on you for anything.

Today is your Birthday, and I want to tell you what is on my heart as I thank God for another year to have you in my life.

May God bless us with more years together.

Poem To You

I just want to let you know You mean the world to me Only a heart as dear as yours Would give so unselfishly
The many things you've done All the times you were there Help me know deep down inside How much you really care
Even though I might not say I apreciate all you do Richly blessed is how I feel Having a grandmother just like you
With All My Love,
Brandie

Baaawaaa

It seems as though my sinus issues are back again....baaawaaa. The headaches are icky.
I am getting by with medicine so that's a blessing :) Poor dh has had a toothache for 3 days. Finding a dental office open during the holidays is next to impossible. I am going to call first thing Monday morning to see if I can get him in.

We went to town today to get Mariyah. Blake has been really missing her, it's been 3 weeks since we have had her over.

Ohhh ~ it is so nice...the snow is finally melting, and hopefully will continue to do so! Our neighbor plowed the driveway today so we were able to take the van.

God Is Good!

I know the title becomes redundant, but I really am just so thankful today for His love. This Christmas was different then any other Christmas. I tend to just get stressed getting ready for the Holiday season, but I had a joy that was NEW this Christmas. Praise God!

We made all our gifts for the grandparents and had such a great time doing it together :)

Christmas Eve we gathered together, and my my dear hubby ready the Christmas story.......it truly was such a blessing! This was a first for ALL of us as a family to do. The kids were very exited that daddy was reading it to us this year!

Blake enjoyed all the baking and crafts we did. Austen has been enjoying being outside with dad and spending good quality time together. It has been nice to have him at for the week.
Last night we spent at my MIL's house having Christmas dinner. The kiddos got to open their gifts and play with their cousins.

What a BLESSING this Holiday has been. Thank You Jesus!!!!

He has spent most of the morning doing some deep cleaning. He is always going, going, going.....wears me out when he is home, but I love it!

We will be staying home Christmas Eve and then Christmas day we are going over to my MIL's for a traditional Prime Rib dinner. The kids are very exited, they have been playing outside most of the morning, and afternoon. I sure miss church! I can't wait to be back into the regular schedule to tell you the truth.

Well I'd better go plop another load of laundry in and get the kiddos some lunch.

A Look Out Our Window :)

It was a delight to see our deer back. They have been eating off of the apple tree.
We have more snow. We are up to 15in, and more is falling. The weather has been reeking havoc on transportation! We took Austen to town to go with his friends to have a airsoft war yesterday. Wayne just left to go and pick up Austen in town. It is a good thing Wayne can drive well in it, but most of these people have no experience driving in snow. The weather is calling for freezing rain. We did get some ice last night. I never have seen snow like this here in the NW.

Happy Snow,
Brandie

God's Creation & Beauty

I stand amazed at God's beautiful creation!
It has truly been a blessing to wake up for the past few days to the beautiful blankets of snow. I opened my window from my kitchen sink to see the awesome wonders of our beautiful creation of birds. We have a apple tree that is still with fruit. We have been able to watch as these beutiful creatures come to eat their breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have just been enjoying God's goodness. We are so blessed!
Psalm 8:1,5-9

Oh Lord, our Lord how excelent is thy name in all the earth!

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beast of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Wednesday SNOW round 2

Wow, we got a ton of snow today! Hubby came home early and played with the kiddos. They just had loads of fun. I gave them half the day off to play cause I knew Wayne would probably be home early. This afternoon the kids and wayne made cookies..........it was a riot! Wayne does not cook at all. They had no idea that their dad could even cook, so they watched intentally. When we were younger before children Wayne would always bake cookies and cakes lol.

It is breakfast food for dinner.......mmmm good
I spent some time today on smilebox........I absolutely love that program

Well it is near 7:30, and I need to get more laundry folded and get some shut eye:)

Night,

Proverbs 9:34
Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting
at the posts of my doors.

It's Tuesday!

Well I have not much time to write but just a small bit today. I had to make a trip to town to get the Christmas gifts we made at Office Max. The roads weren't to bad, a little icy though.

This Friday is the Adult Christmas banquet at the church. Austen has plans to stay at a friends and so we will just have Blake.

I am so tired of the news........I only turn it on to see weather when hubby gets home. I think I;ll stick with the puters news.

Snow is still here and it's Brrrrrr cold outside. Another storm is headed this way tonight. We are suppose to get 3-6 inches. I am glad I went to the store and stocked up.

I need to get off here and get Austens work corrected and then get ready for dinner. My sweetie should be home here pretty quick :)

Monday, Monday..........

Well a new week is beginning, kids are back at their school work and I am back into my normal routine. The snow and ice kept us from going anywhere this weekend, we just hung out and enjoyed family time. Blake and I did some baking, Austen went snowbording , Wayne watched football, and we all spent time out in the snow playing.

I am not feeling the greatest today, but I'm going to plug away and get through it :) Austen has had this icky cold, I probably should not have let him go out in the cold yesterday. Wayne seemed to snap out of his cold pretty quickly this time, Praise the Lord!

Austen is currently studying the tongue in the Bible.
I have this verse posted up in the school room.

Proverbs 21:23
Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Blake is learning letter Hh today and numbers 1-5. He is already finished with his work except reading. I also need to do English with Austen today.

Boys on the trampoline

We awoke to a blanket of snow today! It was absolutely beautiful! The kids had fun playing in it and jumping on the trampoline full of snow :)

Blake and I made yummy NO BAKE cookies tonight. He really enjoyed cooking with mom. We had some grocery shopping to do before we get trapped in because of the weather. Tomorrow is when it's really suppose to snow and get really cold.

I am so not ready for Christmas...............I guess I'm going to have to do my shopping next week. Times have been tough on our finances. Wayne got his hours cut, so it will be very tight. I am praying this economy will bounce back. However I know God will take care of us, just as he has done in the past :) There are so many out of work I'm just thankful my husband has a job!

Austen is just getting over a bad cold, and he has passed it on to Wayne...........ugh now I am starting to get a soar throat

Why are none of my posts here?

Hmm strange......only the pics are here

Oh Boy.......I think winter is here in the NW, it is getting colder every day. They are predicting snow by the weekend :)

I have been struggling with headaches for a few days now, mostly at night. I put a call into the doctor, and I am suppose to hear from her today some time.

We spent some time yesterday making our Christmas gifts for the grandparents. I am exited, they turned out adorable. Every year we try and make home-made gifts from the kiddos. This year we did a slide show on DVD, a cookbook, and we are making candy and cookies next week.

I have struggled with weight loss this past couple weeks, just got off track.....so I need to get back to my exercise program today for sure!

On with my Bible Reading

Morning Ramblings~

Awww I feel refreshed, I had a good nights sleep and my headache is finally gone!!!!
2 days of that silly headache was wearing me thin.

Blake will be going to school today, and Austen and I will be sticking around the house. I have been working with Austen on his math.
The kids are getting anxious about Christmas. They both made out their Christmas wish lists.
My MIL is getting my 5 year old a small quad. Yikes........I just wish that they wouldn't spend so much money.

We are going to be on a tight budget this year, beings Wayne's hours were cut way back.
I have been looking up craft ideas for the kids. We are going to make all home-made gifts this year.
I can hardly believe that it is the 11th???
Enough rambling for now, I'm off to get the kiddos up.

Tootles,
Brandie

Yup this sums up my day lol

Down, but Not Out

You know your homeschooling day hasn't gone well when your husband comes home from work and finds you crying. Some days being a Christian and a homeschooling mom puts you into situations that tear you down and bring you to tears. The rejection by others overwhelms, frightens, angers, and discourages you into giving up. The world does all it can do to convince you that you are a fool for following Christ and His call to educate your children.

But opposition to following God's plans is nothing new. In the Bible, Nehemiah faced ridicule when carrying out God's plan to rebuild the broken wall around the city of Jerusalem. Led by the Lord to return to Jerusalem after years of exile, Nehemiah faced a huge task and the negative harassment from enemies like Sanballat and Tobiah (Nehemiah 4). The secret of Nehemiah's success in rallying the workers and overcoming his enemies' discouragement is stated in verse 16a, "And it came to pass from that time forth, that the half of my servants wrought in the work, and the other half of them held both the spears, the shields, and the bows, and the habergeons." Praying to the Lord and setting their mind to work, Nehemiah grouped the people together to build the portion of the wall nearest their homes. With half of the people standing guard and half of the people building the wall, the work was soon finished in the face of those who opposed them.

As homeschoolers, we need to set our minds to the work of educating our children. Divide the task of homeschooling your children. Enlist the prayer support of your spouse, homeschooling friends, or others who will guard your back with the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) against Satan's fiery darts of discouragement. God's strength is available to succeed, but you must set your mind to work and pray.

Father, the task of homeschooling seems huge, and the discouragement I am facing today seems even larger. Help me set my mind toward the work of homeschooling our children today, and send prayer warriors who are willing to defend me. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Learn how today by visiting aophomeschooling.com!

Peace

It is time to give thanks........
Satan seems to be attacking, but God is still good!!!!! I am choosing today to give thanks despite of daily trials.
We had a great Sunday! Church was awesome. The messages were right on. I needed the encouragement. I awoke yesterday around 5:30 and started my day off in God's Word. I read Revelation from chapter 3 to chapter 22. It was a true blessing. In the end the VICTORY is ours AMEN!!!!!

Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Today I spent a few hours with Blake at school helping, and then we came home for Austen to get started on his school work. I have asked a dear young lady at church to tutor him in math. This will help me a whole lot.

Dear Hubby got his hours cut which means an $800 dollar cut a month in pay. Yes that is a big chunk but I know God will take care of us. He has always!!!!!! It breaks my heart that so many lately have LOST their jobs and have NO income. We are truly going through an economic crisis. Our news is filled with despair, BUT praise God that I don't put my hope and trust in my finances or circumstances. These things are only for time...temporary. I must focus on the eternal things.

Pro 10:28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

Ta-Ta for now :)

A new week~

God has been so good! We had a great long weekend spending time with Family. My oldest son just turned 13, I can hardly believe he is a teenager now.....Yikes.

It was great to be in the house of God yesterday. We herd some moving messages. God spoke to me in many ways.

Today is a new day. A new week, back to the swing of things. Austen is doing his school work. I have a Dr apt. at 11 today. I am having a hard time sending my lil guy back to school today. I know that God is with him, but I want to keep him home so bad :(.
Friday is Waynes corporate holiday dinner. This will be the first year we will attend. He is not looking forward to it, but beings he is a manager he needs to go. Rotschy Inc. has been a blessing to our family, and is a wonderful comapny to work for. Wayne just has a hard time attending gatherings.
Psalm 16:11
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
