Ick......getting a cold

Woke up with a real bad sore throat. It's that time of year, thankfully this is my first cold of the season. I am praying I can kick it with lots of vitamin C and rest.
We took down all our Christmas stuff today. That was a job in itself lol. We had a great visit Thursday night with my dad and step mom. The kids enjoyed it as well. Blake is spending the night with Mariyah at grams house. She was planning on making their Gingerbread houses today. Austen finally figured out his x-box 360. We had to buy the hard drive 60gb.
I am I'm off to bed. I want to get my rest so I'm feeling better to go to church in the am. Wayne has been just so exited since our New Years service, he is looking forward to being in the house of God tomorrow :)

Funny :)

A strong Baptist family decided to buy a home and make everything in the house Baptist. They were going to make it look and feel Baptist through and through. So when they were finished they went to a pet shop to look for a Baptist dog. They asked the owner, "Do you have a Baptist dog?" Surprised, the pet shop owner thought about it for a while and then nodded, saying, "Yes... yes, I think we have a dog that will fit your description." So the owner brought out the dog to the family, and the father said, "Let's see if this is a real Baptist dog." So the father said to the dog, "Go get a Bible." And the dog ran over to a table, grabbed a Bible in its mouth, ran back to the man and plopped the book at his feet. Impressed, the father continued, "Let's see if this dog knows its books of the Bible... Turn to Psalm 23". The dog then opened the Bible with its snout and pawed through the pages to Psalm 23. Very pleased, the father bought the dog and brought it home. The next day, the family had visitors. They showed their friends the Baptist dog and the things it could do. Finally, the friends asked, "Well, can it do any other tricks that normal dogs do?" The Baptist father wondered and said, "Hmm, I don't know. I've never tried." He then ordered the dog, "Heel." Suddenly the dog leaped onto the father's lap and placed its paw on the man's head and started to pray. "Wait a minute!" exclaimed the Baptist mother, "This dog isn't Baptist! It's Pentecostal!"

Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Dear Grams

Words can not say how much I am thankful for you today, and every day.

The time we have been able to spend together, the long phone calls, the hugs, cards, gifts, prayers, and unconditional love. God knew hen I was born, that he would show his love through you. You are truly a soul I admire, your forgiveness, love and devotion for each and every family member, your thoughtfulness of every occasion and holiday. As I reflect this day of you and what a blessing you are in my life, I see God and his love for us.

I am so blessed to have you for all these years and never do i want to take for granit the time I have with you here on this earth. Never once have you let me down or made me feel unwanted. I have always known I can count on you for anything.

Today is your Birthday, and I want to tell you what is on my heart as I thank God for another year to have you in my life.

May God bless us with more years together.

Poem To You

I just want to let you know You mean the world to me Only a heart as dear as yours Would give so unselfishly
The many things you've done All the times you were there Help me know deep down inside How much you really care
Even though I might not say I apreciate all you do Richly blessed is how I feel Having a grandmother just like you

We must love and serve others because it is right and because we love God Himself,
not because love gets us something that we want.
