Spring Cleaning...Our Attitude..

Col 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Start by showing a little Gratitude to the others in your family, in your life. So your kids made a mess. Did they help clean up at all? Thank them for their help. Thank them for being at all, even if they didn't help clean up! Imagine your life with out them. Wouldn't it be awful? Did your DH (online this stands either for "Dear Husband" come home from work and complain how you ALWAYS leave the dishes for him? Mine did. Wasn't deliberate. Honest. I tried, "Oh, let me get that! You must have had such a hard day at work." Shoved him out of the way and put the two dishes that had been missed into the dishwasher. Hey! I'm grateful we have a dishwasher! Things could be worse!

If your child can't seem to grasp fractions, it may be your Attitude about it needs adjusting. Make a hard subject fun by making a game of it. There are loads of materials out there that make learning tough subjects fun. So pick that math book that has cartoons. Select a grammar book that sparks the imagination. Buy some inexpensive videos that even the most hardened teen will play over and over. Explore the Internet to find the most delightful sites for children. Go through this check list to see if your methods will lead to success. Whatever you do, avoid feeling guilty about it!

Moms, I know this sounds nearly impossible, but do try to get some Solitude in each day. It's good for your kids to get some, too, but it is primarily important to take care of you, Mom, first. Plan to have some learning time for you. continuously improve yourself, if you don't you'll burn out: guaranteed.

If you don't keep up your Fortitude who will carry on? Plan for nutritious meals and time for exercise right along with planning for your children's homeschooling.

No matter what your Latitude there are other homeschooling parents to talk to, to assist you in many ways. Reach out to them. They may seem very different from you at first, but they are just like your neighbors. At times you'll need them for support and understanding where no one else will do.
As my grandfather always used to say: "Take time to smell the vanilla." There's but maybe a teaspoon of vanilla in a whole cake, but isn't the smell delightful? Life is a like that. Savor the small, special moments of delight and treasure them. The memory of them will get you through the tough times.

Holland America Cruises In Mexico

This is good news. My grandma and grandpa are on Holland America cruise line and they had about 5 stops in Mexico....I was really worried but I just found this! Wheewww

Meanwhile, several of the world's largest cruise lines said they were suspending all stops in Mexico.
Carnival Corp., and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., the world's two largest cruise lines, made the announcement in response to recommendations by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to avoid non-essential travel to the country. Princess Cruises and Holland America also suspended all stops to Mexico. At least 159 people have died in Mexico from influenza and its complications, and more than 2,000 cases have been reported. It is not clear, however, what proportion of those deaths and cases are attributable to swine flu. So far, seven of the deaths have been firmly linked to the virus.

The Right Directions?

Make a Right onto Believeth Blvd.

Keep straight and go through the Green Light,

which is Jesus Christ. There, you must turn onto

the Bridge of Faith, which is over troubled water..

Now when you get off the bridge,

make a Right turn and Keep Straight.

You are on the King's Highway - Heaven-bound.

Keep going for three miles:

One for the Father, One for the Son,and One for the Holy Spirit.

Then take the Grace Blvd exit.

From there, make a Right turn on Gospel Lane.

Keep Straight and then make another Right onPrayer Road.

As you go on your way, Yield Not to the traffic on Temptation Ave.

Also, avoid SIN STREET because it is a DEAD END.

Pass up Envy Drive, and Hate Avenue.

Also, pass Hypocrisy Street, Gossiping Lane,

and Backbiting Blvd.

However, you will have to go down Long-suffering Lane,

Persecution Blvd. and Trials and Tribulations Ave,

but that's allright, because VICTORY Street is straight ahead! AMEN!

When I say....."I am a Christian"

When I say ... "I am a Christian"I'm not shouting, "I'm saved"I'm whispering, "I get lost!""That is why I chose this way."

When I say ... "I am a Christian"I don't speak of this with pride.I'm confessing that I stumble, and need someone to be my guide.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"I'm not trying to be strong,I'm professing that I'm weak, and pray for strength to carry on.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"I'm not bragging of success,I'm admitting that I've failed, and cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"I'm not claiming to be perfect,my flaws are way too visiblebut God believes I'm worth it.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"I still feel the sting of pain.I have my share of heartacheswhich is why I seek His Name.

When I say ... "I am a Christian"I do not wish to judge.I have no authority,I only know I'm loved!

To Blog Or Not To Blog..my boring life lol

It is a typical Monday here in the Richards household......
CraZy Monday's!

Austen finished his math to find mom corrected it as soon as he was done.....Ouch
I gave the paper back to him and asked him to re-do the ones he missed. He was not a happy camper. I explained to him, that when you rush through something, you will make mistakes!
Same story with his English........Ugh!!!

I need to go to to the feed store and see if I can get Chance some meds for his eye infection. I have been cleaning it out 3 times a day and putting heat packs on it. The swelling has gone down some.

Church was wonderful yesterday. I got to stay for all services! Wayne stayed home, I was bummed but it just makes me pray harder for him! Well, I have about 4 loads of wash to catch up on so I better go get to it!

Blessings,
Brandie
